I saw them live at Kings College Weds 5 March - I found them to be massively talented and refreshingly lacking in cynicism. They created an amazing atmosphere and plainly love what they’re doing. There was no bombast. The lyrics are heartfelt, about confidence and the power of self belief, all issues we all deal with, the musicians themselves are overwhelmingly brilliant, the performace seamless and full of soul and spirit. They did a truly unexpected and stunning cover of Duffy’s current single, Mercy which you can also hear on Jo Wylie’s Live Lounge. The audience left glowing and enthused and positive. No negatives, except I can perhaps see a need for another jump up and down tune as well as [Angel of] Mercy
The album is well worth the buy - as are tickets to the V Festival if you can lay your hands on them: OneRepublic are due to be playing the main stage.
