After taking a year off, there seems to be even more of a sense of anticipation in the air than usual surrounding the upcoming Glastonbury Festival which will be taking place in Glastonbury, England on June 22-24, 2007.
So far Chumbawamba has been confirmed to play and now the NME has managed to get festival founder Michael Eavis to disclose that Bjork, Arctic Monkeys and Arcade Fire are playing. The Who also looks set to be there as possible headliners, which should be a treat if that is the case.
Until the actual lineup is posted on the Glastonbury Festival Website the speculation game is in full force. We are only left with our imaginations to think about who could be headlining each night on the big stages, who could be playing in the smaller tents and as the bigger names trickle in, to wonder how fast the tickets will sell out.
Speaking of tickets there’s a new system in place. There’s now a pre sales registration for ticket buyers. If you want to go then you have to register between February 1st and 28th, 2007 for April 1st when tickets go on sale. For more information please go to www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk.
